John G. Hnatiuk
John passed away peacefully September 28, 2015 at the William Booth Special Care Nursing Home in Regina. Born November 12, 1929 to Helen and John Hnatiuk, John was predeceased by his parents, and seven brothers. He survived by his wife Betty; son Terry (Maureen) and grandsons Dillan and Brennan; daughter Tammy (Mike) Boyce and grandson Shane; and two sisters. John and Betty were married July 16, 1955 in Yorkton and lived 60 years in Regina. He worked many years for the Highway Traffic Board and The Traffic Court. After his retirement, he worked security at the Wascana Rehab Centre. He volunteered for the V.O.N. and also as a cameraman for CKCK Television. He spent many years on his farm and also liked to restore cars. Visitation will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Paragon Funeral Services, 521 Victoria Ave., Regina, SK with a Graveside Funeral Service being held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Highway #1 East (meet inside the cemetery gates), with Major Sharon McDonough Officiating. Special thanks to all his caregivers and nurses at William Booth and Dr. O. Rasmussen. Donations in John’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army William Booth Special Care Home.
