Obituary of Aileen Wetzstein
Aileen passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. Born in Mont Laurier, Quebec to Patrick and Ida Ryan (nee Kelly). She was predeceased by her husband Ralph “Mickey” and her daughter, Susan, as well as sisters; Muriel Anka and Clare Collins, Patricia Ryan-Brown, and her brothers Kenneth and Douglas. She is survived by her sons James Wetzstein (Tracey) of Gary, IN., and John Wetzstein of Victoria, BC, and son-in-law Joël Demay of Saint-Colomban, QC; grandchildren: Eric (Corinne), Lisa (Renaud), Anna (Julien), Laura (Jici), and Daniel (Kathy) Demay all of Montreal, and Gabriel Wetzstein of Gary along with great-grandchildren: William, Victor, Clémence, Élisabeth, Colin, Olivier, and Solange. Also surviving Aileen are her sisters, Ula Latimer and Phyllis Anka of Los Angeles. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 935 McCarthy Blvd North, Regina, SK with Pastor Daryl Solie officiating. A viewing precedes the service at 9:00 a.m. Interment immediately following in Neudorf, SK. The service will be livestreamed, those who wish to join us virtually may do so at www.princeofpeaceregina.ca. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lutheran Foundation Canada in support of the C.T. Wetzstein Donor Advised Fund for Christian Education. Please make cheques out to “Lutheran Foundation Canada” with “C.T. Wetzstein Donor Advised Fund” in the memo line and mailed to: Lutheran Foundation Canada, 3074 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3K 0Y2.
