To Mrs. Butel and family,
Well today is indeed a sad day as I received notice that my very favorite teacher has passed on. I had the pleasure of being Mr. Butel's student for all of my high school Math classes as well as Physics and Phys Ed...and as a coach for our softball team. He just seemed to make it so easy to learn. I also took a Math class with Mr. Butel at the Regina Campus. It was my first year at university and Mr. Butel was upgrading to the "new math". We both got high 90's for our marks!!!
Over the years I saw Mr. Butel at weddings where he was the official photographer...and of course, I would see him at funerals of my relatives. He would always have a puzzle in his pocket.
My condolences to Mrs. Butel and the family. He will be sorely missed.
