Aunt Helen was a special person who always made those around her feel that way. I remember a time out at our cottage on Katepwa lake when Aunt Helen, afraid of water, decided she was going to try to water ski. Perhaps her bravery was in part due to a few too many cocktails. She sat on the pier and yelled go. The boat lurched forward and she immediately fell. No one told her to let go of the rope if she fell. The driver of the boat didn't stop right away either and I watched the rope pull her further and further underwater while I screamed for her to let go of the rope. I watched her pop up and spewing water she started laughing. Her joy was infectious and my memories of her will always be special.
Rest in peace Aunt Helen,
Janet

Bill, Carla and family,
We’re sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. I always thought it was so cool how you’d sometimes bring her to retirement or promotion parties at the China Doll. It was easy to see you loved showing her off and she loved hanging out with you and your friends.
Take care,
Lauri and Barry

My sincere condolences to the Dombowsky family. I worked for Agriculture Canada in Saskatoon and when I moved to Regina to work for the Saskatchewan Beef Stabilization Board, I lived with Al and Helen for a couple of months. Helen and I continued our friendship for years. Your Mom was a wonderful lady who spread fun and love wherever she went. The world will be a sadder place without her.
