It was a privilage to watch online the home going for Alex. It was a beautiful service and the Pastor that gave the message did an amazing job. It is hard to believe so many years have passed since we have seen each other. I already wrote on Facebook but once again may God be your source of strength and hope. May each and every one Ruth and family treasure all the memories you have of Alex. Thanking the Lord that he was a child of the king.
Although it has been many years since we had close contact, time has not eroded your influence nor lessened the value of your friendship. Countless kitchen table visits, usually with “Mrs. Doka’s Brownies” and several (sometimes fish less) men’s fishing trip, left deep and abiding imprints on our family’s lives and hearts. Alex was always there in the shadows, never the spotlight: silent; strong; reliable; consistent; never ruffled; faithful, the best friend possible.
BECAUSE HE LIVES, we will meet again.
