Obituary of Margaret Miller

Margaret passed away peacefully at the age of 91 years on Saturday, November 20, 2021.  She is survived by her daughters, Glenys (Charles) Sylvestre of Regina and Valerie (Shane) Brennan of Moose Jaw; grandchildren, Jordan, Cole, Lucas, Josephine, Joel and Gage; great-grandchild Ava; sisters-in-law Myrna Pillipow of Saskatoon, Norma (Grant) Steinsvoll of Saskatoon, and Vivian Foldvary of British Columbia; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Margaret was predeceased by her parents John and Irma Foldvary; brother Alex Foldvary; sister Mary (Norman) Wenzel; brother-in-law Ladimer Pillipow; and her husband of 38 years, Glenn Miller.  Margaret also lost her first husband Kenneth Murray in 1955.

Margaret was born in Wakaw, SK where she attended school until her Grade 12 year, before moving with her family to a farm near Sylvania.  Margaret attended business college in Saskatoon and worked for almost 20 years in various administrative positions.  After her marriage to Glenn, she settled into life on their farm south of Allan.  She was involved in the community and was especially devoted to St. Aloysius Parish, including long-time membership with the Catholic Women’s League.  After Glenn’s death, Margaret lived in Regina and Moose Jaw to be close to family.  She enjoyed the communities where she resided in Regina and Moose Jaw:  Queen Victoria Estates and the Bentley respectively.  In both residences she supported the Catholic Mass services and continued with leadership in music ministry for the masses.  She enjoyed taking part in activities offered such as card game nights and shuffleboard.   

Prayers for Margaret will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24 at Holy Cross Parish, 315 Douglas Ave. E., Regina, SK and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 25 at 10:30 a.m. at the same location.
