Obituary of Victor Eugene Hoemsen

Victor Eugene Hoemsen 1951 - 2016 Victor Eugene of Indian Head passed away on May 14, 2016. He was predeceased by his mother, Dorothy Hoemsen. Vic was born November 29, 1951 in Regina. He served his community for 28 years as a proud member of the Regina Police Service. In his younger years he spent time working on a dairy farm and in retirement found his way back to the rural life on his farm near Indian Head. Vic loved animals, gardening and spending time at his cabin at Katepwa Lake. He was always willing to lend a hand and spent much of his spare time building or fixing something for family, friends or neighbours. Vic was a very proud grandpa and cherished the time he spent with his grandkids. Watching him laugh and play with them was pure joy. Vic will be forever missed by his best friend and wife Charmaine Kambeitz; daughter Lindsey (Andrew) Longstaff; stepchildren Amber Kambeitz (Matthew Kuhnke), Jordon Kambeitz; grandchildren Maryn and Renley Longstaff, Emily and Nova Kambeitz; father Hugo Hoemsen; brothers, Peter Hoemsen (Pat), Norman Hoemsen; sisters Heather (Raymond) Young, Tryph (Greg) Van Loosen; many nieces and nephews and, of course, his many friends. A Celebration of his life will take place 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the Conexus Theatre Lobby, 200 Lakeshore Dr., Regina, SK. Anyone wishing to make donations in his memory may do so to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Those who were lucky enough to cross paths with Vic knew that under the tough exterior was a selfless man with an extremely big heart.
