I was saddened to read about Bob's passing. It brought back memories of us hanging out together in earlier times in the Eastview area of Regina. One day a bunch of us were talking about wrestling and Bobby looked at me and said that he could put me in a headlock that I could not get out of. Not possible, little man, I thought, so I offered to take him on. He clamped his hold on my head and I tried my hardest to get out of it, lifting him up, twisting and turning. With all the Wild Root cream oil in my hair that should have allowed me to slip easily out of this hold. Nope, I tapped out after about fifteen or twenty seconds later. I looked at him and thought this little man is strong. He looked at me , laughed and said "I told you so". And the legend of Bobby Dupuis grew that day.
We drifted apart and years later our sons played hockey against each and we renewed acquaintances and it seemed like old times. It was that easy.
I will miss not running into him again in this lifetime. He was a good friend.
Linda, please accept our deepest sympathy and prayers.
