It is with sadness we announce the passing of Edwin Allen Ripplinger on Wednesday, July 7, 2021. Ed was predeceased by his parents Stephan amd Florence Ripplinger; brothers Adam, Joseph, Father Steve, Dan, Max, Tony, Frank, and Arnold Ripplinger, and Al and Ted Selinger; sisters Angeline Walbaum, Mary Rog and Bernadette Agi. He is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter Candace (Grant) Handford; grandson Jaxon Handford; and brother Bernard (Angel) Ripplinger.
Ed enjoyed playing hockey as a young boy and followed that passion into his early fifties. He met Donna in grade school and they were married on July 29, 1967 – just short of 54 years. One of his fondest memories was playing bass guitar in the band “The Checker Lads” which was formed by family and friends in the late 50’s and early 60’s. He often recalled the good times during this part of his life.
Ed worked for the Saskatchewan Liquor Board for 38 years – working in various branches and in various positions. The joy of his life was his grandson Jaxon, he was “Pappa’s Buddy” We will miss Ed greatly and love him always.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Little Flower R.C. Parish, 420 College Ave., Regina, SK.
