John had a huge presence in our lives. He was a loving father to his children, and a father figure to his numerous nephews and nieces. He was admired and loved by those he came to meet in his life. He had a love for his music.

John was also employed with the City of Regina Transit Company, where he met numerous people and was known for his humor. John became Chief of Piapot First Nation for two terms, and also as a member of Piapot First Nation Council for many years.
