Obituary of Isabel Lorraine Gogel

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our precious and loving mother and grandmother, Isabel Gogel.  Isabel passed into the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, on Sunday, March 14, 2021.  Isabel was predeceased by her loving husband, Reinhold.  Left to celebrate her homegoing are her children Murray (Glendine), Lee (Karen), Merla and Sharon; grandchildren Dustin, Ashley (Garett Thackeray), Brittany (Greg Moore) and Christopher; and 4 great grandchildren.  Isabel loved her family and could often be heard praying for them. 

Isabel accepted Christ as her Saviour when she was a teenager.  After high school, Isabel attended Briercrest Bible Institute, then came to Regina for work.  It was at church where Isabel met Reinhold, and they were married in 1957.  Isabel and Reinhold enjoyed many years of farming together with Reinhold’s brother, Walter, and his wife, Hertha.  Upon moving into Regina in 1981, Isabel loved hosting people in her home as she was very hospitable.  Isabel also enjoyed serving in her church. 

Isabel had a deep and personal relationship with her Saviour, loved reading the Bible, and prayed for people, some of whom she had never met.  On Friday of last week, Isabel shared with her daughters that she dreamt during the night that she was in Heaven.  Less than 48 hours later she passed from this earth and entered Heaven, where she is free from all of her frailties. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Gordon Chin for his excellent care, the home health aides for their compassionate service, and Aleena Umar who blessed Mom with her daily presence and many conversations.
