Obituary of Marjorie June Newman

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of June at 71 years of age. June was born in Nipawin, SK moments after the arrival of her twin sister Marion Jean (Pee-wee). During her childhood June and her family relocated many times within Saskatchewan as her father’s job required, finally settling in Milestone. 

Her childhood days were spent in the company of her sisters and friends. Alongside Pee-wee one of June’s joys was figure skating. June had a love for history, the royals, true crime drama and books. June will be missed for her light hearted laugh, warm smile and kind heart by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Carla and Leandra; brother-in-law Wayne; nieces Jaimi and Jacki; three grandchildren; five great-nephews; one great-niece and countless cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Pioneer Village, Brightwater Seniors Home and Pasqua Hospital for the care and friendship given to June over the years.

A Memorial Service and interment will be held at a later date at Milestone Cemetery, Milestone, SK.
