It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our sister, mother, grandmother and friend Constance Vanee Jaxson (nee Francis) “Picks the Sweetgrass Woman”.

Our Connie was predeceased by her father Chester Francis Sr; mother Deena Francis; brother Chester Francis Jr; paternal grandparents Vivian Trottier and William George Francis; maternal grandparents Mary Mintuck and Howard Creely. Connie was also predeceased by her special nephew Nash. She is survived by husband Brody Jaxson; her daughters Cheryl Francis and Kylee Kennedy; sons Cjay Kennedy and Kc Kennedy; and special son Curtis Francis (Krissy); brothers Leon Francis (Jerrilyn), William “Bill” Francis (Charmaine), Marcel Alexson, Glenn Pelletier; sister Pat Sparvier (Floyd) and special sisters Tania Mintuck and Chasity Delorme (Lance).

Connie had an immense love for all her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and was very proud of them and had a special bond with each and every one of them. Her family will remember her as loving, understanding, giving and the most forgiving person anyone could ever encounter. Expressing and showing her love for her family was deeply important to her and would give the “shirt off her back” to anyone in need. Despite a long battle with diabetes she did not allow it to slow her down. Connie’s positive outlook on life allowed her to lived life to the fullest every single day. She was a proud and devoted member of the Jacob Bear United Church and cherished her special relationship with Pastor Brig Judy.

The family would like to send gratitude to the doctors and nurses of the Regina General Hospital, Regina Paratransit Drivers. The family is extremely grateful for the compassion of the Regina City Police. Lastly, heartfelt gratitude to Paragon Funeral Services.
