Have often thought of this wonderful man and friend. He taught me and was Principal at Alameda School for a few years. Then the High School was moved to Oxbow. I did a number of things for over ten years after Graduation. Obtained a B.A. and B.Ed. It was a few years more of doing a few different things and finally someone said maybe you should use your Education. A position was spotted for the Oxbow School District. I sent a resume' in and Supt. Bob Pletch phoned me to come to Carnduff to meet the Principal (Dale Ching). The biggest surprise for me was that Bernie was there too! Certainly I took the job! Again our friendship was rekindled over 2 years. When I look back I know that it was his guidance and role modelling that was certainly adopted by myself. I spent another 30 years teaching at Luther College in Regina. Bernie I'm thinking that you taught a lot of students that became teachers. I alone taught over 7000. Thank you Sir!
