Obituary of Carrie Foraie

Please share a memory of Carrie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carrie D. Foraie, peacefully on Monday, January 4, 2021.  Carrie was born August 14, 1956 in Vancouver, British Columbia.   She was later adopted by Mike and Ruby Nemeth of Regina, Saskatchewan, where she was raised and spent most of her life.

Carrie married her high school sweetheart, Raymond in Regina.   They later had three children; Trevor, Justin and Nicole.  Carrie loved Regina and loved raising her children here.  She worked as a merchandiser for LEGO throughout her life and was quick to tell you that she had the best job.   She had a passion for meeting people through her work and getting to know their story.

Everyone who met Carrie was touched by her kindness and warm heart.  Throughout her life she insisted on giving to others.  She started the muffin program while her children were in school, organizing breakfasts for community schools.  She was always there to provide a listening ear and counselled those in need through hard times.

You could usually find Carrie in the kitchen baking multiple things at once.  We will all greatly miss her cakes, breads, cookies and love for putting chocolate chips in everything.

Carrie’s greatest joy was the love for her children and grandchildren.  To say she was the best Grandma is an understatement.  She would spend hours playing with her grandchildren, somehow carrying on long conversations with toddlers who could barely speak.   The kind values she instilled will live on in them.

Carrie was predeceased by her father, Mike Nemeth and brothers Joe and James Nemeth. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Foraie; children Trevor (Suzanne), Justin (Jessica) and Nicole (Clark); her loving grandchildren Adrienne, Sylvie, Pierson, Dawson, Hayden and Remington; her mother and step-father, Ruby and Tony Guckert; siblings Michele Foraie, Jason (Stephanie) Nemeth, Cathie (Brad) Bechard; sister-in-law, Leslie Nemeth; life-long friend Lyla Deis and numerous nieces and nephews.

We will love you forever and always.
