Obituary of Elsie Minnie Weisbrod
Elsie passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 in Regina, SK at the age of 94.
She was predeceased by her sister Kay Hart; and brothers Jake and John Ermel. She is survived by her husband of 76 years, Karl; son Barry; daughter Faye (Jim) Ursaki; granddaughter Haley (Tim) Solie; grandson Aaron Ursaki; great-grandchildren Seanna, Irelyn and Chase; great-great-granddaughter Phoenix; brother Norman (Joyce) Ermel; sister-in law Rose Wagner; close cousin Eleanor Schwartz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Elsie was born in Lumsden, SK on October 18, 1926, later moving to Cupar where she spent her childhood. She married Karl Weisbrod on October 8, 1944. Karl and Elsie enjoyed many years farming in Disley. She loved playing ball for the Lumsden and Disley Ladies Softball team as a catcher. Elsie enjoyed getting together with friends and family and sharing her love of music. She was the drummer for the “Good Timers Orchestra” with Karl, cousin Louis Schwartz and brother-in-law John Weisbrod. Elsie will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank the staff at Parkside Extendicare for their care and compassion during Elsie's time there. A private family graveside service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2020.
