Obituary of Taiwo Oludare Akinwale

It is with heavy hearts we announce Taiwo’s passing on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina, at 60 years of age.

Taiwo was predeceased by his father, Pa Festus Akinade Akinwale Mato; and brother Olutayo Akinwale. His memory will be cherished by his loving wife of 31 years, Comfort Modupe Akinwale; his children, son Akintoba Akinwale, daughter Oluseyi Akinwale, son Taiwo Israel Akinwale, and daughter Idowu Tosin Akinwale; mother Comfort Monilola Akinwale (nee Oderanti); siblings Olufunmilayo Akinbiyi (nee Akinwale); Olufunmilola Adesina (nee Akinwale), Idowu Olubukola Ogunnika (nee Akinwale), Olufemi Akinwale; as well as step-siblings, brothers and sisters-in-law; cousins, nieces and nephews.

Taiwo was born in Iwo, Osun State, Nigeria on August 30, 1960. For the most part of his working years, he worked as a high-school teacher, and later as vice-principal in Nigeria. He relocated with his wife and children to Canada in 2009. 

Taiwo was a very kind, loving and generous man. He was always willing to help anyone in need, even at the expense of his own convenience and comfort. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
