Obituary of Derek Ernest Edward Gould

Please share a memory of Derek to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce Derek’s unexpected passing on Monday, November 16, 2020 at the age of 36.   He was predeceased by grandparents Ernest and Elizabeth Gould and Walter Huculak. Derek’s memory will be cherished by his wife Leticia and their daughter Elizabeth; parents Jack and Lorena Gould; grandmother Margaret Huculak; siblings Ken (Holly) Morrison, Peggy Morrison (Todd), Rob (Kim) Morrison, Tony Gould and Jackee (Meghan) Gould; mother and father in-law Kevin and Marilyn Kinvig; sister-in-law Tamara (Derek) Gottselig; brother-in-law Kameron (Leila) Kinvig; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.

Family was of the utmost importance to Derek.   There was nothing he enjoyed more than his time spent with family and friends.  He was caring, sensitive and had a great sense of humour.  A lover of the outdoors, Derek enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing.   He spent his summers outdoors exploring the forest.  He was passionate about the Leaf’s, Raptors and his dogs.   Derek was a dedicated worker who put his whole heart into everything he did.   He was compassionate, loved so many and was loved by so many.   He will be greatly missed.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family gathering will take place at a later date.   A sincere thank you to all the family and friends who have offered their support and condolences.   It is greatly appreciated.
