Obituary of Adam Harty

Adam Harty June 11, 1928 – March 17, 2016 Our beloved father passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Regina Pasqua Hospital at the age of 87 with his family by his side. Predeceased by his wife Florence Harty (May 2015); brothers, Andrew, Al, Bert, Wendell, Joseph, Leonard, Ted; four sisters, Rose Robertson, Regina Balog, Rita Fluter, and Jean Abello. He is survived by his siblings Paul (Rose) Harty, Tony (Hilda) Harty, and Lea Gessell and special friends Albert and Margret Kayter. Adam leaves to mourn his sons, James (Brenda) Harty, Gerry (Sheryl) Harty; 4 grandchildren, Tanya Harty, Erin (John) Saltasuk, Cole and Kassandra Harty; 4 great-grandchildren, Kaden, Zachery, Cierra and Jack; as well as many other family and friends. Adam retired from the City of Regina Roadways Division where he made many long term friends and enjoyed his career. After retirement, Adam enjoyed caring for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren entertaining them at A&W with many root beers and papa burgers. He was always social, meeting daily for coffee at the Northgate Mall. In August of 2015, Adam resided at Courtesy Care home where he made many new friends and a wonderful caregiver Angelita Pascua-Ibon. Thank you, you made this his home! The family wishes to express thanks to the kind and compassionate staff of the fourth floor of the Pasqua Hospital. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Parish, 425 Broad St. N., Regina, SK. Donations in memory of Adam may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of choice.
