Obituary of Kenneth Lloyd Nolte
Ken passed away peacefully on September 10, 2020 at the age of 72. Ken was also known as Fat Kat. Ken was predeceased by his father William Nolte; Mother Alice Nolte (nee Matthies); and brother-in-law Blair Dunsmore. He is survived by his loving wife Kelly, along with their furry companion Sidney; daughter Deanna; brother Gordon (Agnes); sister Joyce; along with numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and many close friends. A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations to an animal rescue organization made in Ken’s memory would be most appreciated.
Ken always had a smile on his face and always laughed at his own jokes. He was always the funniest guy in the crowd, and he had many great friends across the globe. Ken had a difficult year after his fall and subsequent surgery. He was unable to hop on his motorcycle this last summer and head for the open road or hop on the plane to spend the winter in Mexico. Covid-19 was not his friend as Ken was a very social fellow. One day we will have a drink in his honour together with friends and family and hopefully mask free. Cheers to Ken you will be truly missed. As I was writing this, I got word that Ken’s brother Gord passed away on September 14. Rest in Peace Gord. The Nolte brothers together again.
Those we love
don’t go away,
they walk beside us
every day.
Unseen, unheard,
but always near,
so loved, so missed,
so very dear
In Loving Memory
Kenneth Nolte
