Obituary of Archie Kayseass

Please share a memory of Archie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Archie Kayseass On March 13, 2016, Archie quietly and peacefully began his final journey home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 69 years old. Archie was born in Wadena, SK to Nora and Roy. Right from a young age Archie had a strong work ethic; he was never without a job whether he was a field hand or a miner, among many other jobs. In 1975 he joined the RCMP where he worked proudly in service until his retirement in 1996. In his 21 years as a Constable, he was stationed across various locations in Saskatchewan where he made friends and touched lives. Up until the end, everywhere he went he knew someone or someone knew him. He loved sharing stories of his adventures, his upbringing, and lessons he learned in life. He loved making people laugh. He was an avid music lover who played the guitar and enjoyed listening to old country classics. He was a faithful Saskatchewan Roughrider fan, and also enjoyed watching UFC with the family. He golfed occasionally, and was a good marksman even though he could never find it in himself to take an animal's life. He always enjoyed keeping up to date by watching the news channels and reading the daily newspaper. He also loved going to bingo with his siblings and his late mom. Archie is survived by his wife of 38 years Violet; his sons Jarron, Curtis (Jeannine), Jaime (Kristy), and Cory; his daughter Kristen (Chris); his brothers Norman, Richard, Paul, Ross; his sisters Lillian, Olive, Doreen, Mary Anne, and Sara; his childhood friend and special cousin Robert; numerous nephews and nieces, as well as relatives from Day Star, Rocky Mountain House, Little Pine, and Keeseekoose. Archie was predeceased by his parents Nora and Roy; his brothers Stephan and Sandy. Archie also leaves behind his special furry grandkids Anderson, Gizmo, and Sweetie Pie. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Regina General Hospital. A special thanks to Dr Prasad and his nurse, who Archie thought so highly of. The traditional wake was held at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 in Kylemore at the Percy Severight Memorial Hall. Elder, Joe Crow, officiating. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in Kylemore at Percy Severight Memorial Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada, Canadian Diabetes Association, or Regina Humane Society.
