Obituary of Korene Inga Verlene Simpson

Korene passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2020 in the Regina Lutheran Home. She was predeceased by her parents Ron and Esther Simpson. Korene will be lovingly remembered by her only sister Rhonda; Rhonda’s three daughters Daria “Doodle”, Erin (Ryan) and Denna (Joe); special great-nephews Landyn, Nohl and Keenan and great-nieces Keyana, Kayla and Ayva. Korene was the most loving and giving person. She loved collecting knick-knacks, especially porcelain dolls. She had over 100 in her collection. Korene enjoyed meals at the nursing home, particularly Diet Pepsi, noodles and Cheezies, along with the odd chocolate bar. She dearly loved her sister, nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins, and they all adored her.  Korene’s family brought her great joy.  Korene never forgot a birthday, always had a present (regardless of the holiday), remembered middle names, as she addressed everyone by their first and second names. A special thank you to Joe from his mother-in-law, Rhonda.  Korene loved him unconditionally and we appreciate his love and care. A Graveside Service will be held at the Raymore Protestant Cemetery, Raymore, SK on Friday, September 4, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. Those so wishing may bring flowers to the cemetery as Korene loved flowers.
