Barbara Lorraine Piapot (Papequash)

July 28, 1959 - July 11, 2020

A loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece and friend to all that knew her.  Barbara began her journey home to the Spirit world on Saturday, July 11, 2020.  There she will be met by her loved ones that predeceased her: Husband Leonard; Children: Tanya, Marvin, Chasity and Terilyn; Mother Joan; Sisters: Priscilla, Leanne; Brothers Leon, Baby Harvey; Grandparents: Sid and Elizabeth Papequash; plus numerous other relatives.

Barbara will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children and family:  Ashley (Jaclyn), Sandra Mae (Harley), Justin, Colleen, Michael: Dad Arnold; Sisters Hertha (Darcy), Roberta (Warren), Delores (Henry); Brothers Ivan, Ken, Kevin (Michelle); Son-in-law Laurie Polsom; 16 grandchildren; Special Aunts Anita Papequash, Karen Nahnepowisk and many more family and friends too numerous to mention.  

Traditional Wake will start at 4:00 pm on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Piapot First Nation Band Hall.  Traditional Funeral services will start at 11:00 am on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Piapot First Nation Band Hall.  Feast to follow.

Thank you to the wonderful nurses at Wascana Hospital (2-5) who took care of mom until the end and thank you to Chief and Council, George Toto, Elder Murray Ironchild (Jumbo).
