Obituary of William Popadynec

Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bill Popadynec on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the age of 88. Bill is predeceased by his parents Sam and Katie; sisters Anne, Olga, Helen and Elsie; and his wife of 40 years Phyllis in 1998. Left to cherish his memory is daughter Shirley Reiter; son Gord; grandchildren Candace (Brendan), Chaz, Madison (Dallas), Hunter; great grandchildren Paisley, Harrison, Jace; along with special friend and companion, Lillian Nowosielski. Bill was born in February of 1932 and was raised on a farm near Wynyard, SK. He moved to Regina at an early age and then met Phyllis and married her in July of 1957. He was an entrepreneur at heart and owned numerous businesses until he retired. The Regina Seniors Center was a place he spent many hours, dancing and playing cards. He was an avid card player and for many years helped to organize the games at the Seniors Center. Seldom did he ever miss a day of card playing. We would like to acknowledge all his friends and fellow card players at the Regina Seniors Center. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Regina General Hospital MICU for their care and compassion. At Bill’s request there will be no funeral, a private family memorial will be held in his memory. Online condolences may be left at www.paragonfuneralservices.com
