Obituary of Ken Lawrence

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Kenneth David Lawrence on June 14, 2020 at the age of 71 with his wife and daughter by his side. Ken is predeacesed by his parents Thelma and Walter Lawrence; daughters Yvonne and Gina Lawrence; brothers Art, Sam and Ed Lawrence; and nephew David Lawrence. Ken will be lovingly remembered by his wife Joanne of 40 years; daughter Trisha (Keith); sister Maria (Nick) Anastasakis; brothers George and Oliver Lawrence; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Ken was born to Thelma and Walter Lawrence of Wilcox, SK. He was the oldest of 7 children and enjoyed his time on the family farm.  Ken married Joanne and they were married for 40 years, they had 3 daughters and he enjoyed having many family pets.  A special “hi” to his cat Charcoal, his “mister turkey boy” and companion.  Ken enjoyed working at many jobs and farms before he settled at Russel Metals in Regina, SK, where he worked for 34 years until he retired just before his 65^th birthday.  After retirement he enjoyed his time at the family cabin and helping his dear friend Bob Wilson on his farm. A very special thank you to the Palliative care team, home care and all the staff on 3A at the Pasqua Hospital who each had a special hand in his care for the last year of his life.   There will be a Memorial Service at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, Regina, SK in September of 2020.
