Obituary of Sykora Lonnie Micheal Pinay

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Sykora Lonnie Micheal Pinay. He was born and raised in Regina, SK and passed away at the young age of 18, on May 22, 2020 in Regina, SK.

Sykora struggled daily with mental health issues. This never stopped him from being a loving, gentle soul. Even if he was the quietest one in the room, everyone gravitated towards him, with his bright smile and infectious laugh. He had a fun loving, goofball personality. Sykora was always doing and saying things to make his family and friends laugh. He filled his time with playing online video games, skateboarding, BMXing, parkour and drawing graffiti art.

He is predeceased by his great-grandparents Edward & Elizabeth Pinay and great-grandma Christina Kempf.

Sykora is survived by his mom Kathy Neter; sisters Lillian Pinay and Koda-Eve Pinay; his acting father Byron Mecas; grandparents Rose & Don Neter; grandfather Neil Pinay; grandmother Margrette Cyr; uncle Edward Neter; uncle David Neter (Gina); aunt Patti Turko (Daniel); uncle Bill Neter (Diane); many other aunts, uncles, cousins and biological father Lonnie Pinay.

Due to Covid-19 we are only allowed to have 10 people at the service. The Service will be streamed live on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Please go to facebook.com/TELCregina. There will be a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until midnight. The Celebration of Life will be come and go as to keep with Covid-19 restrictions only 10 people at a time. Please bring a photo if possible. It will be held at 137 Rothwell Cres., Regina, SK, there is lots of parking at the back.
