Obituary of James Ralph Wasser

Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Jimmie passed away on May 24, 2020 at the age of 81. He is predeceased by his wife

Lorraine; his parents Ralph and Marie; sister Mary Ann Beuker and daughter-in-law Janelle. He is survived by his son Scott; daughter Kim (Larry); granddaughter Miranda; sister Betty Ann (Bob) Leach; and many brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Jimmie was born in Indian Head, and moved to Regina at a very young age. He met Lorraine through playing softball; they married and had 51 wonderful years together. Jimmie had a long career at the Leader Post, retired from there but retirement was short lived. He loved to tinker and fix things, so back to work he went, spending many years working part-time at the hockey rink and the hotel. Socializing was his favorite part of his jobs. A love for the New York Rangers and Cleveland Indians had him yelling and swearing at the TV while faithfully watching and enjoying a “Cold-One”.

He touched many lives whether it was through his beloved garden, the time spent with Lorraine at the General Hospital renal unit, or the residence in his apartment complex, he was always up for a conversation. Take a moment, give a “Cheers”, say a swear, hug a loved one, stop and have a conversation. Celebrate Jimmie.

We will Celebrate his Life together at a later date.
