Obituary of Josephine Elizabeth Faye

With profound sorrow the family of Josephine Faye announces her peaceful passing at age 90 on March 15, 2020. Dearly loved and always loving she will be greatly missed by her husband Eddie; children Christy (Ben), Audrey (Ray), Allen (Tilda), and Monica  (Jay Jay); brothers Louie and Edward; sister Marion; and sister-in-law Irene; as well as seven cherished grandchildren, eleven beautiful great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Josie is predeceased by her parents Paul and Bernice; brothers Walter and Edwin; sisters Frances and Stella; and brother-in-law Nick. 

Josie worked tirelessly side by side with Eddie on the farm, raising four children who witnessed her tenacity, humour, laughter, faith and love. She prayed daily for the family.  She loved the farm, baby animals, flowers, pussy willows, trees, and garden. Everyone was welcomed with a smile, a home cooked meal, a lunch or coffee. She made each person feel special while displaying her humility, generosity, funny expressions and love, showing us how to enjoy each moment and to have fun along the journey of life, whether in good or difficult times. Everyone she touched felt the love she had for them. She was a beautiful person inside and out who knew how to enjoy the simple pleasures. Josie had a twinkle in her eye while enjoying special moments like being with children, singing, joking and teasing. Her passion for the Saskatchewan Roughriders was evident; she enjoyed following the team and attended numerous games.

The celebration of her life will be held at a later date. We would like to thank the wonderful staff at William Booth Nursing Home for their compassionate, loving care. Flowers will be gratefully declined, however donations in Josie’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
