Obituary of David Stokes Hodgins

David, age 78 passed away at the Palliative Care Unit, Pasqua Hospital in Regina after a challenging battle with brain cancer. David was born in Windsor, ON. He lived in Windsor and Port Arthur, ON where he attended schools and worked. He then met his soul mate, Doreen DiCasmirro; they married September 27, 1975 and lived together in Emerald Park, SK. David loved sports; he played hockey, golf and 10-pin bowling and was an avid Saskatchewan Roughriders fan. Dave valued work and was constant until January, 2020.

David is survived by his loving wife Doreen; daughter Sharon (Paul) Heino; brother Garry (Catherine); sisters Julia (Ken) Trevisanutto and Sandra (Myles) Jager; niece Sheryl Jager; nephew Matthew Jager; DiCasmirro brothers-in-law Giulio (Gaye), Rick (Leona) and Donny (Rhonda); and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews & cousins. David was predeceased by his parents, Pearl and Bill Hodgins; in-laws Maria & Alfredo DiCasmirro; and aunts, uncles and various cousins.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no service as per David’s wishes. There will be a private family burial in Thunder Bay, ON at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in David’s name to the Cancer Society of Canada, 1910 McIntyre St., Regina, SK, would be appreciated.
