Obituary of Judith Helen Martindale

Please share a memory of Judith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On Monday, February 10, 2020 our sister, aunt and friend, Judy, succumbed to a lengthy illness at Wascana Rehab Centre (age 79). Regina was Judy's home for much of her life. In the 1960's she left Regina to pursue teaching careers in Ontario and Alberta, which later led to employment as the Director of Family Planning in Calgary, and then to a career as a realtor. The prairies called her home, and on returning to Regina, Judy, who had loved and participated in sports (swimming and basketball were her favourites) was employed by Sask. Swimming and then as Executive Director of Sask. Ski. Predeceased by parents Bob and Betty Barr; sister Elinor; and brother Ian. Judy is survived and will be missed by siblings Kathleen Chablani, Susan Barr, Jocelyn Reekie, Tom Barr, Jane Wilson (Doug), Allison Bowles (Paul); and numerous nieces and nephews. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Wascana Rehab Main 5, for the exceptional care Judy received while a resident. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Judy’s name. No funeral service. Interment at a later date.
