JOHANNSON, Luba (nee Embryk) February 5, 1949 - January 21, 2020 Luba passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Palliative Care Unit, Pasqua hospital in Regina, SK. Luba was born in Gilbert Plains, MB on February 5, 1949 to Matt and Annie Embryk. She grew up on a farm north of Grandview, MB where she developed a love for nature and animals. She remained there until she graduated high school at Grandview Collegiate. She then moved to Winnipeg. She married David Johannson and they had a son, Jason. They remained married several years. She began a career with Canada Post where she met partner Al Piel. They accepted a transfer and remained working in management at Canada Post until retirement. Luba enjoyed many outdoor activities such as camping, skiing, gardening and walking her dogs. Her hobbies included arts and crafts, decorating, reading, shopping and spending quality time with her granddaughters Aliya and Jemma. Luba had a strong faith and was an active member at Faith Baptist Church. Luba leaves to cherish her memory her son Jason (Kara); Granddaughters Aliya and Jemma; Sisters Lena and Myrtle; Brother Fred (Connie); Al's family, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Matt and Annie; Partner Al Piel and Brothers-in-law Morris and Jim. A special thank you to all the staff at the Palliative Care Unit, Pasqua hospital and Dr John Morris. Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Faith Baptist Church, 437 Broadway Ave. E., Regina, SK.
