Obituary of Ruby Mae Garland

Ruby was born in Regina, SK on May 14, 1949. Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister passed into the mercy of our Lord's gentle arms with her loving family by her side on January 6, 2020 at 3:02 pm at the age of 70 years in Regina. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 42 years, Wayne Garland 2013; their twins in infancy 1979; son Gregory 2010; sister-in law Carol 2009; daughter-in-law Rocky 2012. She was also predeceased by her mother Nellie (McMillan) Nestor 2005; father James Nestor 1989; brother Stephen James Nestor 1988; mother- in-law Rose Garland 2014. Ruby is survived by her beloved son Vince; precious grandchildren, Tessa, Brianna, Kale and Lance; sister Lorraine (George) Harris & family, Kelowna; brothers-in-law Garry (Marilyn) and family; Lorne (Denise) and family; Brent, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends and will be missed by her faithful companion, dog Cisco. The family extends our sincere and most heartfelt thanks for the compassionate, dignified and loving care and support mother received during her stay at Pasqua Hospital, the nurses, staff and care givers. Cremation. No service at mom's request. “In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away; Our hearts were almost broken as you fought so hard to stay. But when we saw you sleeping so peaceful and free of pain, we could not wish you back to suffer that again. So when we're sad and lonely and everything goes wrong, we know we'll hear you whisper, cheer up and carry on. Each time we see your picture you seem to smile and say, don't cry I'm only sleeping. We'll meet again someday.”
