Rick was born and raised in Fillmore Saskatchewan. He loved sports and played many in his youth. He was a fan of the Roughriders. All his friends loved it that Ron’s house was right by the old Taylor Field and they could sneak out if they were at the game or just party in the yard and listen. Music was important to Rick, he loved ‘50’s rock and classic Country. While working in the Okinawa he got to meet some of Canada’s curling greats.
