Obituary of Lothar Karl Scheuer

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lothar Karl Scheuer announces his passing at his Regina home on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. Born in 1930 in Heiligenwald, Germany to Alfons and Maria (Doerrenbaecher) Scheuer.  He was predeceased by his parents; wife Ann Scheuer; sisters and brothers-in-law Inge (Klaus) Zimmer and Marita (Kevin) McCusker. Lothar is survived by the love of his life, Irene Lydia Kelln; daughter Lorinda Scheuer; sons Roland (Gail) Scheuer and Terrence Scheuer; granddaughter Jessica (Micheal) Frank; brother Alfred (Ursula) Scheuer and his many nieces and nephews. His journey to Regina found him first in Winnipeg. From various construction employs, he perfected his skills and talents, becoming a respected homebuilder and professional business man. Scheuer Construction Ltd, building custom homes was born. One of its early and repeated projects was the Regina Exhibition, Buffalo Days Dream Home raffle. As the company grew, building in Regina and area, it was a regular participant in The Parade of Homes. Commercial building was also part of the company's dynamic. A man of integrity and of his word, Lothar built homes that he, as president of the company, would be proud to reside. His building standard and company motto was '" the shield of excellence". In his leisure time he was an avid hunter and fisherman, being a member of the "Waldmann's Lust" -- German Hunting Club. He enjoyed travelling and outings with friends, especially the weekly coffee Wednesdays. Lothar’s Life will be Celebrated with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Resurrection Roman Catholic Parish, 3155 Windsor Park Road, Regina, SK. Interment to follow.
