Cheryl is my niece. She was born when I was 14 years old. I remember rocking her to sleep when she was just a baby and thinking what a beautiful child she was. When she was about 5 years old, I was in college, working at an nursing home for the summer earning money for college. I stayed on her parents property in a camp trailer owned by my parents. After working the 3-11 shift, I tried to sleep in. But, I'd hear the door to the house open, and out would come Cheryl running toward my trailer. Than "bang, bang" on the door and her sweet voice asking, "Aunty Gale are you awake". Well, I was after that...but who could be upset with such a sweet little girl, full of joy and energy, wanting to spend time with you. On pay days, I would take her and her brother Kelly to Dairy Queen for a soft ice cream. Many more memories of her growing up, vacationing with her and her parents, etc, that I will always treasure. I will miss her greatly!!!!
