Obituary of Ken James Brabant

Please share a memory of Ken to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

With love and sadness we announce the passing of Kenneth James Brabant on October 20, 2019 at the age of 74. Ken is survived by his wife Lorna; daughter Brandi Magee; stepchildren Robert Anderson (Angie) and Shannon-Skye Hilder (Sean); and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ken was a loving and caring person who had a tremendous passion for life, music and sports. Ken left home at a young age to pursue a career in music. He was an accomplished drummer and studio musician. He was also an avid hockey player and devoted fan of his beloved Boston Bruins. Ken worked many years for hospital laundry services where he established a number of friendships with colleagues and hospital personnel. A Celebration of Ken’s Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Eagles Club, 1600 Halifax Street, Regina, SK. In recognition of Ken’s love for sports, please feel free to wear your favorite sports jersey or apparel. We want to express a special appreciation to Dr. Bhanu Prasad for his wisdom, care and many words of comfort, and a heartfelt thank you to the caring nurses and doctors of the dialysis unit of the Regina General Hospital. Also, a thank you to all nurses at homecare – and a special bond with Rob (nurse), whom Ken enjoyed many conversations and laughter with.
