Obituary of Trevor Allan Berkan

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Trevor Berkan at age 41 on October 9, 2019. Trevor will be dearly missed by his loving wife Kim (nee Houdek); 4  sons Joshua, Rhyder, Chase and Hunter; parents Allan & Lynn  Berkan; sister Juliane (Jimmy); mother-in-law Lesley Houdek; brothers-in-law Simon (Leann), Ruben (Jamie), Alexei  (Britton); sister-in-law Frankie (Rob); grandma Kathleen (Bill), numerous nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his father-in-law Albert Houdek, grandparents Elmer, Irene and Reinhold. Trevor was an avid farmer who was dedicated to whatever he committed to do, whether it was proudly cheering on his sons across their many sports, helping out at the local Southey community rink, serving at his church or spending time with family. He could always be found surrounded by others, enjoying a good laugh or sharing one of his many stories. You knew he cared by how much he teased you and the constant twinkle in his eye. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Southey Baptist Church. Donations in memory of Trevor can be made to the Southey Skating Rink.
