Please share a memory of John "Jim" to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

On Saturday, September 21, 2019, our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully at the age of 90. He will be lovingly remembered by Gloria, his wife of 66 years; his children, Mark (Pat), Randall, Lorie, Carla, and Paul (Angie); grandchildren Lesley (Ryan), Jared (Shannon), Eric (Morgyn), Luke (Jennelle), Kara (Jared), Wade, Sarah, Chris, Alyssa and Natalie; and great-grandchildren Vanessa, Lyla, Sophie, Ryder, Soren, Avery, Oaklin, and Blaine. Jim was born and raised on a farm near Lajord SK to parents Meinrad and Mary; brother to sisters Lucy and Marion; and brother-in-law to Isabella, Marina, Dolli, Roger, Terry and Damaris. He is a graduate of Campion College in Regina. Jim worked in accounts at Fuller Machinery and Percival Mercury in Regina. He then spent twenty-four years as an auditor for Revenue Canada. Jim was an accomplished athlete at many sports - his favourite was baseball. He was a southpaw pitcher at Campion then later played for several local senior clubs. Jim was an avid Toronto Blue Jay and life-long Maple Leaf fan. He loved music; especially playing the guitar and harmonica for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A gentle, fun-loving, caring man, Jim was known for his sense of humour and ability to make one smile. The family would especially like to thank the emergency teams at RGH and Pasqua Hospital, EMS and Palliative Care for making Jim’s final days so comfortable and peaceful. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 100 Argyle St., Regina SK.
