Obituary of Brenda Gail Krasiun

Please share a memory of Brenda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Surrounded by her loving family and with one last boost from her man, Brenda took her final breath and followed her angels on her next great adventure to somewhere.

A partner, a mom, a bonus mom, a grandma, a sister, an auntie, a friend, and bunică; Brenda was more than the sum of her parts. She tackled every challenge with the heart of a lion and wore it proudly on her sleeve. That sleeve was often soaked with the tears of those who cried on Brenda’s shoulder and leaned on her for support. Brenda’s passing leaves a crater in the hearts of all who knew her during her long career with Safeway and Sherwood Co-op, in the labour movement, as a Romanian dance mom, and throughout the many stages of her life.

Brenda is survived by her girls Paula (Chris Strain) and Kara (Stasiu Seckenski); the love of her life for 49 years (on and off) Jim Aitcheson; Jim’s daughters Kelsey and Kate (Jarrod Wyspianski); sister Cindy (Greg Moyer); and grandkids Karter, Clyde, Frankie, Ira, and Reign. And the baby boy who made her a bunică and whose cheeky grin guided her through the darkest of days, Charles.

Grieving with Brenda’s family are countless nieces, nephews, special friends, the friends of her daughters, cousins, and coworkers.

In heaven, Brenda joins her parents Dan and Marlene Krasiun; bonus mom Joan Aitcheson; and her beloved pups Chip, Dale, Toby, and Syco.

Brenda’s family thanks the RGH Unit 5A staff whose love and gentle care was steadfast during her three- week stay and courageous fight with cancer.

The family invites all those who knew and loved Brenda to join them at St. George Orthodox Church, 2005 Edgar Street, Regina, SK for Prayers on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. and for her Funeral Service on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Following snacks, refreshments, and stories, Brenda will be laid to rest at Regina Memorial Gardens, 4001 Victoria Avenue East. Brenda’s funeral will be live-streamed for those unable to join her family in person at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkPZUA3LhB4.
