Obituary of Kayla Anna Marie Probe

Please share a memory of Kayla to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with sadness that the family of Kayla Probe announce her passing on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the age of 31 years. Kayla will be lovingly cherished by Mother Tina Hurrell; Siblings Nathan Probe (Rebecca, children Ivaya and Frank), Krystal Lynn Probe, Brittany (Curtis) Doehl; Grandmother Rose Lorenz, several aunts and uncles and numerous cousins. Predeceased by her devoted father Gregory Probe; Grandma Frances Brakefield, Grandparents Donald and Irma Probe.

Kayla was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. She spent her early years at Sacred Heart School until at the age of 12 she had a lifechanging accident, after which her home became Wascana Rehabilitation Centre. She continued her education and graduated from Miller High School. While at Wascana her community expanded greatly to include attendants, caregivers and numerous extended family members. She never missed an opportunity to experience life to its fullest. She attended Camp EasterSeal, concerts, met band members, getting tattoos, going to spas and as many family gatherings as possible. Even through her constant pain she had a quick wit and infectious smile that would steal your heart. Her passing has left a huge void in our lives.

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 2026 Winnipeg Street, Regina, SK at 2:00 p.m., Friday February 9, 2024. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. A Come and Go Reception will be at the London Belle, 3915 Albert Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity devoted to Spinal Cord Injury.
