Obituary of Mervin Kal Mattie

Mervin Mattie was born February 29, 1952, a leap-year baby! He passed away from lung cancer, on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Regina Pasqua Hospital.

Mervin was happy to call Regina home for his entire life but treasured the few times he ventured out of the province to see friends in Manitoba and one trip to Europe. Traveling back to Europe was still on his bucket list.

Mervin was predeceased by his parents John and Josie Mattie; and several aunts and uncles. He leaves to cherish his memory his siblings, Darlene and Roger; as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Mervin treasured his friends, and friends who were like family, including his long-time employer Von and the teams at Trifon's and Westos.

As per Mervin’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
