Obituary of Sheila Bernita Soerensen

December 31,1933 - November 12, 2023

Sheila passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at the age of 89 years. Sheila was predeceased by her sons Lyndon Soerensen and Paul Soerensen; parents Hugh and Vera House; and brother Darrel House.

Surrounded by a very large blended family, Sheila is survived by her children, Vera (Murray) Thompson, Bonnie Soerensen and Darrel Soerensen; grandchildren: Amanda Soerensen, Cory Pelletier, Brent Pelletier, Ashton Soerensen, Jeannette Orpe, Heidi Bunnie, Myrna Thompson, Crystal (Dustin) Littlewolfe, Carol Thompson, Ashley Thompson (Mike), Justin Thompson, Shyla Thompson (Mo), Kayloni Thompson; immediate great-grandchildren Jaydah Soerensen, Aaliyah Soerensen and Aniyah Pelletier; and her furry guardian Odin.

Sheila enjoyed life to the fullest. She was an artist, a cake decorator, and a seamstress. Sheila loved to cook and read and listen to all kinds of music. Her love of kids showed in so many ways, having five of her own, she was a second mom to almost every child in the neighborhood, taking care of and feeding many. Sheila loved animals and had many throughout her life.

Sheila will be deeply missed by family and friends.

The family would like to extend a warm thank you to the staff and nurses at the William Booth Care home for the wonderful love, care and compassion shown to Sheila while in your care.

A Come and Go Celebration of Sheila’s Life will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at 2616 Coronation St., Regina, SK
