Obituary of Kenny Zehner

It is with great sadness that the family of Kenneth James Zehner announce his passing on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the age of 42 years old in Vancouver, BC.

Kenny will be deeply missed by his mother Elizabeth Morin; sisters Lisa (Omar) and Tanis (Grant); grandma Yvonne; three children; and three grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

He is predeceased by his father Leonard; grandfathers Marvin and Vital; as well as his grandmother Theresa.

Kenny will always be remembered for his adventurous spirit. Anyone who knew Kenny, knew that he didn’t like to stay in one place for a long time; he even travelled as far as Hawaii, Kenny loved it there. Throughout the years, and all his travelling, he always ended up back in Vancouver, BC and that’s where he would call home over the past six years.

Kenny had a tough exterior, but he also had a big heart and was so generous. Whenever anyone needed a hand with anything, Kenny was always there to help. Kenny always made sure when he was at his mother’s house, he wouldn’t let her lift a finger. Kenny would cut the grass, and do anything she needed done. Kenny could do just about anything he set his mind to, he was always full of ideas, even to try start his own small business'. Kenny was a 'jack of all trades'. He would build things, fix cars, take things apart and put them back together again and make them work like new. We loved it when Kenny came back home, we never knew what to expect. He made life a little more interesting and kept us on our toes. Kenny loved his family, especially his mom, which he only called "mother" or "Queen Elizabeth". He would do anything for her. But he also loved his nieces and nephews; he would go out of his way to buy them gifts or handmake something special for them.

We love you. We miss you, Kenny. You will always be remembered and will remain in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at The Metis Nation, 2332 11th Avenue, Regina, SK.
