Obituary of Tyson Kaiswatum

It is with great sadness the family of Tyson Joseph Kaiswatum announce his passing on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the age of 19 years.

Tyson is survived by his parents Christine Blacksioux and Christopher Kaiswatum; siblings Tyra (Brayden), Tynesha, Julien, Julia, Christian, and Dredyn; nephews, Trey, Brandon, Tyreeq; niece Tessa; grandparents Victor Desnomie and Judy Blacksioux, David Kaiswatum, Wesley Sugar, and Annette Dubois; and great-grandparents Victoria Kaiswatum and Antoinette Dubois.

Tyson was predeceased by his grandmother Cheryl Sugar and great-grandparents Louis and Gladys Blacksioux, Victor and Helen Desnomie, and Delbert “Bush” Kaiswatum.

Tyson was always happy and got along with everyone.  We’ll miss him and the smile he always had on our face.

Wake will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Piapot First Nation Community Hall, Piapot First Nation, SK. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 30, 2023, at the same location.  Interment to follow at the Blacksioux Cemetery on Piapot First Nation.
