It is with great sadness the family of Lorraine Jean "Ghostess" Kaysaywaysemat announce her passing on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the age of 57.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter Mandy (Eric); son Michael (Kayla); grandsons Fredrick and Anthony; sister Laura; brother Glen; nieces Crystal and her kids Brianna, Mackenzie and William, and Marietta (Almira) ; nephews Brian (Kim and kids), Arron, Russel, Todd, Wesley (Candace and kids), Quen and Will; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was predeceased by her mother Marriette Lousion; father Fred Kaysaywaysemat; brothers Fredrick, Wesley and Harry; and sister Melvina.

Lorraine loved her family very much, getting together and family BBQs were her favorite things to do. Lorraine loved to take care of all her friends and family, she was a great person to just sit and talk to. Lorraine loved caring for her grandson Eric, playing and watching him grow. Everyone who knew Lorraine knew she loved a good night of Bingo or going to the Casino to play the slots.

Wake will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2023, at Kahkewistahaw Complex, Kahkewistahaw First Nation, SK. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at the same location. At the request of Lorraine, she will be cremated with her ashes spread at a later date.
