FLAMAN, MELVIN PETER

Mel passed away at the age of 78, with family by his side, on Monday, December 31, 2018. He was born February 2, 1940, in Vibank, SK.  He was predeceased by his parents, August and Teckla Flaman; his first wife, Shirley Flaman; his second wife, Marlene Flaman and brother, Tim Flaman. Mel will be lovingly remembered by his four children Daniel, Teresa (Trent), Barbara (Grant), and Laura (Randy); grandchildren; great-grandchildren; step-grandchild; step-great-grandchild; step-children Betty (Barry), Sean, Terry; step-grandchildren; brothers and sisters Patricia, David (Darlene), RoseMarie (Don), Jerome (Gloria), Dennis (Pat), Myrna (Terry), Roberta (Larry), (Sheila), Jim (Linda); numerous nieces and nephews; and friends.  Mel loved the outdoors, being in nature, and fishing. He enjoyed being on his property near Christopher Lake and was a huge part of the community. He spent his last several years in Lumsden surrounded by the beautiful valley.  Many thanks to the staff at the General Hospital on 5A for pampering dad during his last days. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Little Flower Parish, 420 College Ave., Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Diabetes.
