Stella Catherine Raczynski

August 1925 – December 11, 2018

Stella Catherine Jurzyniec was born at the Wolseley Hospital in August of 1925.  She was the first born child of John and Mary Jurzyniec and spent most of her childhood on the family farm near Mutrie Saskatchewan. 

Stella married in 1947 and moved to the farm just north of Fillmore Saskatchewan.

Stella worked for many years in housekeeping at the Fillmore Hospital and in the mid 1980’s moved into town to make the drive to work more manageable, especially in the Saskatchewan winters.

 In September 2013 she moved to The Bentley in Regina.   Once in Regina she had many visitors, friends and family just “popping in” to check up on her and hear the latest news. 

Stella was predeceased by her son Gary John, mother Mary Jurzyniec (Romanow), father John Jurzyniec, brother in law Joe Fehr, sister Rosie Fehr, brother Joe Jurzyniec, son in law Ted vanderHelm, sister Helen Hengen and brother in law Jerome Hengen Her brothers and sisters in law; Joe and Sophie Raczynski, Anthony Raczynski, Louie and Mary Raczynski, Helen and Adolf Kolbe, Victoria and Mark Bula, Edward Raczynski, Mary and Felix Loszchuk, and Mike Lubcynski.

She leaves to mourn her passing; her sister Marian (Miles) Lozinski, her brother Aloyzy Jurzyniec, and her sister Frances (Ken) Weaving. Her brothers and sisters in law; Frances Jurzyniec, Sophia Raczynski, Nellie – Sister Mary Martin Raczynski, Agnes and Herman Gieselman and Rozella Lubczynski.  Her daughter Paulette vanderHelm, grand daughters Heidi (Colin) Spilchuk and Bianca (Joey) Green; her daughter Eileen (Glenn) Jones and her grandsons Sheldon and Sherridon (Carlee); her daughter Verna (Dale) McDonald and her grandsons Drew (Leanne)McDonald, and Dallas (Brenda) McDonald and granddaughter Dara (Mike)Schmidt, and her son Dwayne (Lorena)Raczynski; her great grandchildren, Karina, Brendan, Daniel, Hailley, Wyatt, Percy, Nolan, Matthew, Jonathan, Greg, Cameron and Graeme, and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

At Mom’s request, a service will be held in the spring in Fillmore SK.
