Obituary of Barb Guy

GUY, Barb

January 25, 1951 - October 25, 2018

Barb was surrounded by love when she passed away at the age of 67, after a devastating brain cancer diagnosis 9 years ago. Her loving heart, humble nature, sense of humour, infatuation with Elvis Presley, and incredible will to live, all remained evident throughout her illness. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Chad Guy (Amanda); her daughter, Cara Stead (Alistair); her five grandbabies, who were the greatest joy of her life: Jaia, Lily, Deklan, Zabrina, and Weston; brothers Al Wallis (Brenda) and Earl Wallis (Brenda); goddaughter, Cory Elek (Frank); godson, Mitchell Wallis, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers from Regina City Hall. Barb didn't have any biological sisters, but love makes a family, and she was blessed with three sisters who loved and supported her until her last breath: her best friend of nearly 50 years, Sheila Crofts, her 'sister-in-law-dear', Brenda Wallis and angel-on-earth, Lois Leason.  Special thanks to all of the incredible staff at the Regina Lutheran Home for providing such exceptional loving care to Barb for the past four years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barb's name to the Regina Lutheran Home.
