KISTNER, Gerald “Jerry”

   Jerry, age of 79, passed away peacefully with his family at side, Wednesday, July 4, 2018.  Jerry was born, February 7, 1939 in Regina, SK to Fred and Nelly Kistner. He grew up on the family farm near Disley, SK with his brother Ray and sisters Jean and Wilma. Jerry married Beverly (Huber) on May 22, 1965. They lived in Disley until 1974 when they moved to the family farm to raise their sons, Don (Trina), Mike (Carrie) and Scott (Laurie). In 2009, they left the farm to move to their current home in Lumsden, SK.

   Jerry loved the farm and knew the importance of raising a family with good old fashioned values. He loved spending time with friends & family and you could always talk him into a game of cards. He loved his family and most of all his six grandchildren immensely: Tisha, Alia, Kali, Taylor, Tyson and Dylan.

   The family will have a Celebration of Jerry’s Life, Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 3-5pm at the Lumsden Centennial Hall. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation in Jerry’s name to the Disley Cemetery Fund, Box 242 Lumsden, SK S0G 3C0 or your charity of choice.
