Obituary of Judy Lee Schreder

SCHREDER, Judy (nee Hubert)

Judy passed away on June 10, 2018 at the age of 60 years, surrounded by family. Judy is survived by her two children, Jeremy (Roland) of Toronto and Amy (Brad), and her spouse Jim Geres of Regina. She leaves to mourn her loving big sister Linda and brother-in-law Alan, and their three children Brendan, Rylan, and Jenna (Anthony and Lieve). Judith Lee Magdalena Ruth (Hubert) Schreder was born on October 10, 1957 in Regina, Saskatchewan to Elizabeth and Francis Hubert. Judy’s life was filled with love from many extended family members, friends, co-workers and customers. Those close to Judy always enjoyed days full of laughter and fun, and maybe a bit of mischief, too. The last six months of her life were difficult, with both good days and bad, yet she still smiled when she could. She also took great enjoyment from putting a smile on others faces with the endless supply of tricks up her sleeve, and she never let her family or her amazing nurses and doctors forget who was really in charge. Judy loved animals, dancing, planting flowers in her yard, cooking, dressing up at Halloween to hand out candy and volunteering for charities through her work at Safeway. Although she tried her best but could not finish her obituary on her own, she asked her daughter, Amy to ensure that people were reminded of how funny, smart, and beautiful she was. (And – that she also had a great singing voice, too). Even though Judy won’t be able to finish another one of her funny stories or sing us one last tune, she will forever live on our hearts as our friend, sister, aunt, co-worker, mom and wife. A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Wascana Centre in the Lady Slipper Courtyard.
